Mud Season is upon us! As soon as all the snow melts in the play areas, a fresh, thick layer of untreated bark mulch will be put down. This will help to keep the dogs cleaner. We recommend that you keep an old towel or blanket in your car so that when you pick up your dog, your car seats can be free of muddy paw marks!
Thank you for your patience with the driveway. John has been filling pot holes daily, and when a little bit more of the snow is melted, we will have it grated.
The guinea hens are venturing further from their hen house now that the snow is melting. The reason we got guinea hens is because they are tick eaters. Being is a wooded area, the tree line is thick with ticks. We felt guinea hens were the best, non-toxic way to keep the area free of ticks. In a single day they usually circle a one acre area around the house and doggie play pens. You will see them more often in the driveway so we ask that you make sure your dog is on a leash. Guinea hens are a tasty treat for our canine friends.
Enjoy Spring. Winter will be back soon!
